2025-01-05 19:22:57 Little Snow 小号 The sky was awake. Green and pink ribbons of light danced across the sky, just as they always did. But it was different…somehow.

Queen Anna of Arendelle sat in front of the window with a distant gaze, fixing her eyes on nothing, or something that’s so, so far from reach. Under the northern lights, she almost didn’t notice that the candle was already flickering out.

“Elsa,” She murmured, so softly as if she wasn’t expecting anyone to hear. Then the light suddenly changed, a glimpse of clear, icy blue passed by. Just an instant, but Anna didn’t miss it. That shade of blue, so familiar that’s almost printed in her mind…

“…Elsa?” She finally raised her eyes, “Are you… back?” She finally straightened up her spines after hours of sitting there still, with a voice so shaky and tentative, not believing what she just saw. But she didn’t dare to rub her eyes, fearing that it’s only an illusion.

But then, she really saw that figure in a white dress, exactly the same as what she have been dreaming of day and night. “Is that… really you? I miss you so much…” Tears started welling in those turquoise diamonds, finally, she couldn’t contain her excitement anymore. She stood up, let the window open just a bit. Then she hugged what’s in front of her, and…

The sky brightened up with the first ray of sunshine. As the window blown fully open by a swirl of wind which Anna used to love, there was nothing left in Anna’s arms, only a gust of cold air.

“Elsa…?”

It was what no light as bright as the sun and moon could ever replace.
